This 1950 Ford pickup is all original.
It's been restored but that was about 20 years
ago and it's been driven a bit since then. To
look at it you'd think it was 4 or 5 years old and had a fussy owner. The truck is the
Ford version of my dad's 50
Mercury. The differences are mostly
badging. The Merc is supposed to have 5 extra
HP. It's just a marketing gimmick though. The
engines are identical.

The 50 Ford is a
classic. Everyone smiles when they see
it. You don't have to explain why you own one. They already know.

Next
to the 53-56 Ford pickups the
48-50 models are the
most popular with the hotrod pickup
guys. There
are a lot more parts
available for the 53-56 Fords
because of that. I think the
earlier trucks are
sharper though. My grandfather let
me drive his 49 Ford on the road
on a regular basis starting
when I was ten years old so
maybe I'm a little biased.
Here's another
shot of the truck.

These
trucks are classics and make sharp
looking hotrods. LMC
Truck has a bunch of goodies
available for them.
